After your brain injury, you may be experiencing different behavioural, cognitive (mental), emotional and physical effects. These can be short-term (they only last a short period of time) or long-term (they last for a long time, and may even be permanent).
While we can’t say for sure what effects you will experience (especially since no two brain injuries are the same), we can share some of the common effects of brain injury.
Remember—you may not experience all of the effects we’ve shared. You may experience an effect that we haven’t mentioned. Doctors and other medical professionals are the best people to talk to about the effects you’re experiencing.
